NEW WAVE: Future Voices in Art (22 June—3 November 2024) is an international group exhibition by Stedelijk Museum Schiedam and DAR Cultural Agency, curated by Zineb Seghrouchni. It features six room-filling installations by The Nest, Nifemi Marcus-Bello, Marga Weimans, Ameneh Solati, Yuro Moniz, and Elejandro Martinez.
DAR invited us to design the visual identity for both the campaign and the exhibition.

One important aspect in the brief was the challenge to create one piece of artwork that would convey the idea of a group exhibition, showing not just one or two works, but of all six artists. The solution we came up with is a visualisation of the ‘ripple effect’ that ones ecosystem has on their local life and work (and vice-versa); simultaneously it unifies six artists in one single campaign image.
The exhibition was located at the Stedelijk Museum Schiedam, therefore we have used their visual identity as a basis, while communicating clearly in the footer that this is a collaboration with DAR Cultural Agency, who curated the exhibition. Furthermore to emphasize the collaboration, we introduced an outspoken, fitting typeface for the main title (‘New Wave’) and headers in the exhibition.
